North Norfolk Stories Festival 2015-2016

North Norfolk Stories was a project run by Museums Norfolk to put on an annual, large-scale and free Museums at Night event in North Norfolk in 2015 and 2016.

Our aims were to:

  • engage more people with heritage, as participants and visitors
  • provide training for young people in valuable employment skills
  • run an education programme for schools,
  • put on reading groups in libraries
  • provide opportunities for volunteering and mentoring and skill sharing between partners
  • involve local businesses
  • contribute towards the local economy.

Twenty-one partner organisations, including museums, libraries and heritage sites, were involved and their events and activities brought different histories of North Norfolk people, places and collections to life.
