Becky MacNaughton, who is wholesale jerseys running the oral history project, said: “Oral history is an invaluable way of preserving and understanding the past and we hope to gather a wide variety of material, from eye-witness accounts and memories of big events to everyday traditions and routines, stories, anecdotes, folklore and myths.”

Interviews are expected to last around 30 Staff minutes and will take place at many locations around the area between October 2015 and February 2016. Many of the interviews will be conducted by the project’s friendly team of Young Ambassadors – 16-24 year olds volunteering on the project whilst learning new skills.

About Museums Norfolk

Museums Norfolk is a charity that provides a dynamic and active network to support museums in Norfolk. It instigates and facilitates collaboration, provides forums for networking, training, skills sharing, and seeks to promote and advocate for Norfolk’s museums. Museums Norfolk was awarded a grant of £75,800 from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2014 to support the North Norfolk Stories project. The project aims to engage more people with heritage, as both participants and visitors, and will provide training for young people in valuable employment skills. It also includes an education programme for schools, reading groups in libraries, opportunities for volunteering and mentoring and skill-sharing between partners. Two part-time jobs will be created to manage the project and it is intended that over the course of the project events the participants will become more self-sufficient, local businesses will get involved and the event will become a regular event on the North Norfolk calendar, bringing people to the area and contributing towards the local economy. <a href="”>
